Lady Wolves search for offense, no runs at Zillah

 


Hits and runs have been hard to come by for the Goldendale Lady Timberwolves. A pair of shut-outs at Zillah capped a week where the Wolves have been unable to push games beyond the fifth inning.

Zillah won Saturday’s opener 13-0, holding Goldendale to just four hits. Alexcis Higginbotham struck out eight batters, allowing a single walk in the opener. Higginbotham set down nine more in the 14-0 game two win.

Earlier last week, River View defeated Goldendale 22-2 and 18-5 in make-up games. A strong wind made fielding a challenge on anything in the air. Sierra Lamping drove a triple into the right-center field gap in game one and Kiera Henderson had a pair of RBI in game two for Goldendale...
