Timberwolf netters slowed in post-break action

 


Wins were hard to come by last week for the Goldendale tennis team. On Tuesday La Salle made the most of the home court advantage, spinning a couple of shut-outs. Saturday’s match against Granger ended in a pair of 4-1 losses.

All of the Lightning victories came in straight sets. Jairus Christensen lost to Sean Singio 6-3, 6-3 and the team of Spencer Ricks and Ignacio Cano lost to Henry Martin and Jeffery Vargas by the same score. Spencer Carlson and Ben Newman defeated Brian Ward and John Hanna 6-2, 6-1 and Ivan Lancaster won a pair of 6-1 sets over Timothy Hanna.

Kylee Beam came the closest to breaking through in her singles match against Nancy Urbina. Beam lost the first set 6-4 and...
