Ed Cooper

Edward D. Cooper, age 64, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at his home in Pierce, Idaho.

Ed grew up in Glenwood, WA, son of Lafe and Joy Cooper. He graduated from Taft High school in Lincoln City, OR.

He moved to Pierce in 1977 and worked for Columbia Helicopter, Medley Logging, Steve Henderson Logging and Snyder Logging. He loved working in the woods and was one of the all-time best timber cutters in the country.

Ed married Sherri Hamilton in 1992. They enjoyed hunting and other outdoor activities. They had many adventures and went thousands of miles on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved traveling the open and winding roads, especially Hwy. 12 to Lolo Pass.

He was preceded in death by his father Lafe Cooper Sr.

He is survived by his wife Sherri, his mother Joy Themer, his brothers James (Patty), William (Marcie), Lafe Jr. (Dianne), Thomas (Claudia) and sister Belinda (Steve) Baffa, stepchildren Heidi, Jeremy and Tyler Watson and their children and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life and potluck dinner at the Weippe Community Hall Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m.

Family and friends will also gather at brother Bill's home in Glenwood, WA over Father's Day weekend.
