Goldendale Farmer's Market sheds some light on its past as the sun lights up opening day


The Goldendale Farmer’s Market opened last weekend and is currently offering a golden opportunity for the people of Goldendale. Now accepting SNAP, WIC and Senior Vouchers, everyone has access to the delectable produce grown by local farmers.

“Threads of market activity have been woven throughout the history of Goldendale,” says Ruth Marvin, member of the Market Board. “As far back as the 1980s, a variety of farm fresh produce was sold on Main Street when the street was closed for auctions. In June of 2005, the Goldendale Farmer’s Market officially opened on the lawn of the Chamber of Commerce building.”
