Wolves make moves to strengthen doubles as sub-district approaches

TAKING OVER AT SINGLES: John Hanna is the number two singles player for Goldendale boys. Hanna moved to singles as Jairus Christensen switched to doubles, teaming with Spencer Ricks as the Timberwolves position themselves for sub-districts.

There were only two matches played for the boys versus Naches Valley in tennis, last week in Goldendale, but the Timberwolves won them both to give their team a 3-2 win in league play. Ignacia Cano won his singles match over Hunter Gangle 6-1, 6-1. The doubles team of Jairus Christensen and Spencer Ricks won by the same score over Jacob Hkland and H.J. Olson. The other three matches were all forfeits with John Hanna winning for Goldendale and Naches Valley taking two pairs matches.

The Lady Rangers shut out Goldendale's girls 5-0. Alyssa Simmons and Sandra Ward won two games in each of their sets, falling 6-2, 6-2. The new team of Talia Johnson and Hanna Hoffman fell 6-2, 6-1, as did firs...
