City selling surplus property easement rights


The City of Goldendale played good neighbor Monday night, working through a two-step process to declare three pieces of property along the edges of the city’s 236-acre wastewater treatment plant parcel as surplus, then selling or trading easement rights-of-way on them to other local entities. Counselors first held a public hearing on declaring those pieces surplus, which drew no input from a sparse crowd. Later in the meeting councilors voted unanimously to approve the sale or trade of those properties.
