Computer virus spreading through Goldendale put to a stop


Email has been around for decades and like anything that can be used for communication purposes, it has often been taken advantage of by wrong-doers. Some people send spam while others try to scam.

The difference? One is trying to harass you while the other is trying to swindle money out of your bank account. Scams appear in several forms, especially when they are being conducted via email. For example, you might receive an email stating that you randomly won a contest (you didn’t enter) and that you’ll win a prize if you give the people responsible your credit card number and shipping address. Spam, on the other hand, is an email with attachments or a link, prompting you to open them...
