A war that became civil shows issues can be tamed


There were no metaphoric guns blazing. There was no bombast or chauvinistic posturing. There were no hordes of barbarian invaders slashing through the room and taking no prisoners. Yes, we’re still speaking metaphorically. And we’re speaking of the Klickitat County Planning Committee meeting Monday night at which the commission, after two hours of public testimony and commission deliberation, voted to recommend to the county commissioners a two-year prohibition on new marijuana businesses in the county.
