Marlis Loftin

 


In loving memory of our beloved wife and mother, Marlis Ann Loftin, from all the family.

Marlis was born on January 5, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ralph and Leona Toussaint and passed away in her home on June 14, 2015. Marlis was raised in Portland, Oregon and had a love for horses and music. She was a member of the Portland Junior Symphony and loved to play her flute as well as the violin. Marlis moved to Goldendale, Washington in the late 60’s, and was an active member of the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Posse in the 70’s and worked as a Legal Secretary until she retired from the Klickitat County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in 1993. Since her retirement, Marlis found a love for quilting, gardening and spending time with her family.

Marlis is survived by her husband John “Wes” Loftin of 35 years, sister Jeanine (Toussaint) Schario, daughter Michelle Robinson, son Michael Robinson (wife Karen), daughter Theresa Vague (husband Jeff) and daughter Tracy Hoctor (husband Gary), six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She will be cremated and per her request, no services will be held. Instead of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Sound Equine, P.O. Box 1150, Gresham, Oregon 97030.
