The Taming of the Shrew at Maryhill Museum



Sparks will fly on Saturday, July 18 when the Portland Actors Ensemble presents a free performance of one of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies, The Taming of the Shrew, at 3 p.m. on the grounds of Maryhill Museum of Art.

This comedic battle of the sexes is part of the company's annual Shakespeare-in-the-Parks series, which makes live theater accessible to a wide audience. Audience members are invited to bring their own seating – blankets or camp chairs – and can picnic on site. Bake My Day, of Goldendale will be serving a Renaissance menu in keeping with Shakespeare's day.
