Laestadian Lutheran Church hosts confirmation at Brooks Park

Learn to Confirm: Young people from around the U.S. and Canada gather at Brooks Park to begin the confirmation process. The Lutheran youth spent 10 days studying the Bible, learning Christian doctrine and the elements of their faith.

A state park such as Brooks Memorial is considered a beautiful escape from the societal part of life. For those of the Laestadian Lutheran faith, it is a place of confirmation. Laestadian Lutherans from all over the country and Saskatchewan, Canada spent 10 days at the park studying God's word, getting to know one another and coming to terms with their beliefs; they also spent some time getting to know the friendly faces of Goldendale.
