Wanda "Joyce" Sanders

Wanda "Joyce" Norfleet Sanders, 81, of Kennewick, went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 30, 2015, at Richland Life Care Center. She was born September 18, 1933, in Colorado City, Texas, and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Francis Lee "Sandy" Sanders and her daughter Wendy Gay Sanders Smith.

She is survived by her sisters Edith Shirley Sumner of Chico, California and Marion Joan Johnson of Sacramento, California, her son Thomas Lee Sanders (Anita) of Provo, Utah, and daughters Rhonda Joyce Wick (David) of Kennewick, Washington and Dianna Kay "Sam" Sanders Winters (Tim) as well as 16 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her posterity continues forward. She also had several step grandchildren she loved as her own. She will be sorely missed by her family as well as many dear friends.

Joyce loved her children and grandchildren, family was very important to her and researching her genealogy was one of her loves. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served joyfully in many callings throughout her life. She loved serving others, was a joyful, peaceful spirit and always a calming influence to those around her.

Services will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, Washington on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a viewing Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The interment will be Friday afternoon in Goldendale, Washington at the Mountain View I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Cards with memories of how Joyce touched your life in lieu of flowers.
