Roosevelt school with firefighters' tents

The Highway 8 Fire is finally contained, but some firefighters were still lingering Monday afternoon, their tents visible in front of the Roosevelt school. Also visible is the scorched ground just feet from the building. The flames got distressingly close to Roosevelt town houses as well. At its height, the fire reached 34,800 acres.
