Civil Disobedience in Goldendale

A few horses and riders showed up for a 'civil disobedience' rally Friday evening called by Michael Kitchen, owner of the Windy Ridge Saloon. A small barbecue grill and live music were in the lot belonging to Pat's Place, though rear access to the lot was blocked with cones to prevent horse trailers from entering. Kitchen put cardboard boxes marked "Dung here" along the curb for horse owners to clean up after their steeds. Despite controversy and a low turn-out, Kitchen says he wants to hold the event again.
