The Fair is coming!

The Klickitat County Fair is just next week, and music will fill the air from the opening barbecue Aug. 20 through Saturday evening.

It all starts with Goldendale's Jimmy and Jimmy (Jimmy Ogden and Jimmy Wells) with Mary Jo Olson providing the backdrop music during the barbecue. The lines open at 5 p.m. with the Jimmys and Mary Jo taking to the stage at 5:30 p.m. The local trio will feature songs from the 1930s through 1950s.

Later on Thursday night, the action moves to the rodeo arena where Marc Ensey and the Mongrels, billed as the ultimate party band, will provide country rock starting at 8 p.m.. A dance floor will be in place in the arena for the audience to get in tune with the action. Ensey, a Goldendale native, has worked out of Nashville since 1999.

On Friday night, Briana Renea will perform her down-home country music with just a touch of rock 'n' roll. Saturday's music entertainment features another Nashville recording artist, Ray Lemley.
