Virginia (Ginny) Sophia Hayden Rainey passed away in Billings, Montana, July 24, 2015.

She was born July 29, 1937 in Goldendale, Washington. She graduated from Goldendale High School, then moved to Spokane, Washington where she married Dell DeMent. They have three children. She worked at the Spokane Country Club for 17 years as a bartender-bar manager. In 1980 she and Dell were divorced and a couple of years later she moved to Olympia, Washington. The following year she moved to southern California and for six years worked at De Anza Country Club in the winter and Tacoma Country Club in the summer. In 1989 she moved to Palm Desert, California and went to work at the Ironwood Country Club where she worked until 2003 when she retired. She met her present husband, Lynn Rainey, who is a retired country club manager in southern California. They were married in Fort Benton, Montana in 1999. They lived in San Diego, California in the winter and Clayton, Idaho in the summer. The last five years were spent enjoying winters in Florida and summers in Montana.

She is survived by her spouse, Lynn Rainey. Her sisters, Annabelle Fleming and Jeaunnette Bussler both of Omak, Washington; three children; Sabrina Watson of Florida, Lance DeMent of Minnesota, Brenda Sherburn of Montana; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Clifford 'Rabbit' Hayden; siblings, Clara Owens, Barbara Hayden, Marjorie Torson, Grace Tower Sanderson, George Hayden, Edward Hayden and Robert Hayden.

She was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery September 5, 2015, located in Goldendale, Washington.
