Red House keeps drawing guests, renters

UNIQUE AND AVAILABLE: The Red House enjoys a special history and image in Goldendale.

If you live in or around Goldendale, you've probably seen or heard of the famous Red House, built by Charles Newell in 1891. The house is known for its blood-red paint and Gothic-style exterior. For some, this may be considered a little shocking, but its stained windows pique curiosity of what lies inside. For those of you looking to stay a few nights away from home, you can rent the house for a short stay.
