Lady Cougars go 4-0 at Dufur jamboree


The games won’t show up in their match record, but Saturday’s performance by the Lyle-Wishram volleyball team at the Dufur jamboree was significant. The team was charged up and played with enthusiasm as they defeated Alsea 25-11, Triad 15-19, South Wasco County 25-15 and host Dufur 25-21.

This could be a big year for the Cougars. They are loaded with experience. Seven seniors and two juniors lead the team. It seems like some players, Lacy Carse and MaeLynn Luke have been around for a very long time....and they have. Both have played a lot of ball at Lyle-Wishram since they were in the eighth grade. Also prominent in that group are Ellie Smith and Kiya Childers who also saw some action...
