Sentinel contributor Nichols runs for Wasco County commissioner

 


Rodger Nichols has been on radio so long, his voice fades when he goes through a tunnel.

His dulcet and highly professional baritone has been the voice of news on Haystack Broadcasting radio stations for years now, and he is a frequent contributor to The Sentinel. But now he’s off the air. If he can help it, he’s going to lose his current job to become a Wasco County commissioner. And that means he can’t be on the air without giving equal time to other candidates, according to FCC regulations.

What would possess him to do such a thing as to run for political office?
