Rags Guzman

Regulo "Rags" Guzman, 67, passed away on September 4th, 2015 at 11:05pm at Cascade Senior Care in The Dalles, OR.

Rags was born in Earle, AR. on October 4, 1947 and attended school in Toppenish WA.  He moved to Wishram WA in 1972 and began work at Martin Marietta Aluminum that year, until 2003 when the plant closed.  He worked in grape fields in Granger WA until he was placed on disability, and finally reached retirement age. 

Regulo was a great family man and a loving father.  He married Margaret in Lewiston ID and had four children.  Regulo was a social and active man who was deeply involved in freshwater and charter fishing, and big game hunting, mostly deer and elk.  He enjoyed watching sports, camping, barbecuing, and dancing.  His family and friends will always remember him as easy going, a lover of the outdoors, and a genuinely happy man.

He is survived by his son, Regulo Guzman Jr, three daughters, Christina Schwinof (John), Regina Guzman, and Samantha Carlson (Bill), one grandson, Cooper Carlson, three sisters, Cynthia Berry (Charles), Clarabel Deleon (Diego) and Elvia Gonzales (Andy), and five brothers, Roger (Lisa), Jose (Maggie), Francisco (Lisa), Jaime (Julie), and Roye (Patty) Guzman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Guzman, his mother and father, Maria and Tomas Guzman, sisters Norma Dean and Elvira, brother, Eloy Guzman, and niece, Sunshine Deleon.

Visitation was on Friday September 11, 2015 from 9-11AM with a funeral at 11AM at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Friends can send condolences at http://www.toppenishfunerals.com/. Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
