Lady Cougars tripped up by Bulldogs after romp over Huskies

Winning is fun: It was clear who was winning as Coach Lori Smith instructs Lyle-Wishram during a time out against Sherman County.

Lyle-Wishram breezed to a three set win over Sherman County in Lyle, Thursday, behind the booming serves of Lacy Carse. Carse scored on four aces in game one, five in game two (including three in a row) and one in game three. Lyle-Wishram won 25-10, 25-20 and 25-15.

Sherman County took the early lead in game two at 5-3 on a Emma Stutzman kill. Over the next nine points, the teams traded errors to a 9-8 Cougar lead. That's when Carse went to the service line and gave Lyle-Wishram the final lead. Carse hit a pair of aces followed by a Smith kill and three more Carse aces.
