New coffee shop will honor vets

AT EASE, SOLDIERS: Lisa and Travis Herseim are opening Golden Chinook Coffee near where Coyote Coffee used to be.

For those facing caffeine withdrawal since Golden Coyote took down its shingle on Main Street in Goldendale recently, hope is at hand.

"We're going to be Golden Chinook Coffee," says Lisa Herseim. She and her husband Travis are opening a fresh version of what used to be Golden Coyote coffee in almost the same location.

"Chinook" Coffee? Is this some new blend no one's heard of yet?

"We're both Army veterans," Lisa says. They used Chinook helicopters while in the Army. "So we are going to do a veteran-theme coffee shop. The colors are going to be the Class A uniform from the Air Force. Even though we were both in the army. We love all of our brothers and sisters."
