From the best seat in the house


The last two weeks have given us the good and the bad side of eight-man football.

Lyle-Wishram was out-gunned at Neah Bay two games ago. Granted, Neah Bay is a terrific team that will embarrass many teams, but there is enough variability of ability in eight-man that these mismatches are fairly common, even between lesser teams. There just is a lot of room to run out there. We also see some ferocious hits in some of these games, probably more than we want to see.

But, the other side was on display, Friday in Lyle as the Cougars won over Mitchell-Spray. The teams were better matched than the first half score showed. There were good hits, great plays and you could see the boys were having a...
