End-of-world prediction makes its way into local church

GOT SOMETHING NICE TO WEAR?: According to Chris McCann's eBible Fellowship, the world will end today. A pastor at a Goldendale church made an oblique warning to his congregation about the imminent end of the world.

The good news: no one is sure who is in charge of such things, but apparently the end of the world was postponed. The bad news: it was moved to today.

The doom of the planet is a hot topic again, even leading the pastor of a Goldendale church to offer an oblique warning to his congregation about it recently, according to some who were there. As a courtesy, we will not identify the specific church or pastor.

Speculation ran high in doomsday circles that the end would be in September. Yes, last month. Evidently it didn't work for someone's schedule. Now the talk is this month-specifically today, Oct. 7.
