Lady Wolves aim to stem slide with three-game home stretch


After getting off to a 3-1 start in league play, Goldendale’s volleyball team finds itself out of the top four places following three straight 3-1 losses. Three straight home games which started Tuesday with Highland, give the Wolves a chance to get back in the race.

The slide began Sept. 29 at league leading Naches Valley. A home loss to Zillah followed and then last Thursday La Salle won at La Salle to start the second half of league play. In that match, Goldendale started strong and led the opening set 17-10. But, inconsistency got the better of the team and they lost 27-25. The teams alternated with 25-22 wins for the next two sets. La Salle closed out the win 25-11.
