I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends – and were blessed with too much to eat so you had leftovers to enjoy the following day(s)!

A bit of white in the valley has it feeling like Christmas is approaching. To get our town in the holiday spirit, there will be a community Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Glenwood General Store. Community members who have ornaments they would like to put on the tree are encouraged to do so. Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided; and rumor has it that there will be caroling too! See you there.

Claude McKenzie’s community lighting contest was so popular last year…that he’s bringing it back again this year. He’ll have a panel of unbiased judges tour the valley on Dec. 18 and 19 to choose their favorite light display. This is such a fun contest. Many lights are already starting to appear around the valley as friendly competitions among neighbors has begun! More details will follow next week.
