Cougar Fire meeting to focus on aftermath



BURN AREA: The Mt. Adams fire earlier this year prompted an upcoming meeting on its effects.

A free public program with panel speakers and audience participation on the effects of the Mt. Adams fire earlier this year will take place Friday, Dec. 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Columbia High School Library, 1455 NW Bruin Country Road in White Salmon.

Called "2015 Mt. Adams Cougar Creek Burn: The Future" and presented by the Friends of Mt. Adams, the presentation will include as panel members:

• Steve Andringa, Administrative Forester, Yakama Nation

• Mark Nuetzmann, Wildlife Biologist, Yakama Nation

• Mose Jones-Yellin, District Ranger, Mt. Adams Ranger District, USFS
