Pirates storm Trout Lake for 51-19 win

Like the tide rolling in, Bickleton's girls overwhelmed Trout Lake with their relentless rush down court. Everyone on the team was capable of pushing the ball ahead and it was too much for the Lady Mustangs who went down to defeat 51-19 on their home court, Friday. It was the league opener for both teams.

Tenacious defense and a running offense made for a mismatch. Even when team leader Hannah Pond went out of the game with seven points, following a collision which got the better of her nose, the Pirates continued to roll. Ashley Magana was smooth around the hoop, Katrina Cardenas settled the offense in the late stages of the game and worked the clock. Emily Hansen was involved end to end...
