Olsons celebrate 69 years together
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Olson just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Mary Phyllis Allen of Alderdale, daughter of Fred and Mary Allen of Alderdale, married Ralph Homer Olsen, son of Arild Olsen of Tacoma, on Nov. 10, 1946 at Piedmont Presbyterian Church in Portland. (Alderdale was a little town that went under water when Highway 14 was built in the very east end of Klickitat County.) They have two sons, Ralph of Vancouver, and Fred and wife Alice of Battleground. Phyllis worked many years for Nabisco Cookie Company and Ralph was employed at the Portland Plywood Company. They now live in Vancouver.
James and Jessica (Cummings) of Pullman have a son, Kiernan James Colvin born Dec. 7. He weighed 8 lbs., 20 ounces. His Bickleton grandparents are Jim and Irma Cummings, also two Bickleton uncles. His parents are both graduates of WSU and are now employed by the university.
John and Colleen Jensen of Bickleton are grandparents for the first time. Little Everett Kingsbury was born a bit early but has now reached 5 pounds and is doing well but still in a Spokane hospital. Mom and dad are Craig and Erica Kingsbury of Genesee, Idaho.
All three of the Clark “kids”, spouses, their children and grandchild were home at the Clark Ranch for Christmas. They enjoyed sledding on Nelson Hill.
