Fourth quarter rally gives Cougars a win to enjoy over the break

RUNNING THE OFFENSE: Dylon Sisson leads Lyle-Wishram on a break against Stevenson. Sisson was one of four Cougars to score in double figures in a win over Stevenson.

It was a great way to start the Christmas break for Lyle-Wishram and Stevenson boys' basketball teams. Only the Cougars could claim a win, but both teams played a fiercely competitive game with Lyle-Wishram winning 61-58 as Bulldog three-point shots failed to drop at the buzzer.

It looked like the game would be anything but close through the opening quarter. Stevenson had a size advantage, in terms of height, but Elijah McCullough more than held his own in the middle and the quickness advantage for Lyle-Wishram seemed to overwhelm the Bulldogs. Lyle-Wishram led 20-10 at the end of the quarter and it could have been worse.
