Snow returns! Good news for upcoming Cabin Fever Festival


Happy New Year to all! We hope that all of our readers have a pleasant, healthy and crisis free 2016.

Here in Trout Lake we enjoyed a white Christmas and New Year. We have about two feet of snow on the valley floor with reports that the skiing is good, maybe the best in years; good news for the skiers. And the snow pack is building on the mountain, also good news.

We passed a landmark date on Jan. 1, in addition to being the first day of the new year, it marked the anniversary of 50 years of family ownership of the Trout Lake Grocery store.
