City police to stage Active Shooter training

Goldendale Police will conduct an Active Shooter training at the Goldendale High School, Saturday, Jan. 23 from 7 a.m. to noon. The training helps law enforcement be prepared to deal with the active shooter situation, should it occur. Law enforcement in the county has been conducting these training events annually using a variety of locations, including schools, the courthouse and private businesses.

Chief Reggie Bartkowski will be the primary instructor. According to Bartkowski, in addition to Goldendale Police, Washington State Patrol, Washington State Parks and Department of Fish and Wildlife will take part in the training.
