Uproar builds over new state rule


Media covering a controversial story in Washington are few, even as the story escalates in its ramifications.

The Family Policy Institute (FPI) of Washington reports that only a handful of news organizations have covered the story. (The Sentinel ran one last week.)

The issue is a new Washington State rule passed by the Washington State Human rights commission making it illegal to prevent a man from going into a women's restroom if he says he is a woman. (It also applies to women who want to go into the men's room.) This is true for schools as well as businesses.
