Mary Ellen Kincaid


Mary Ellen Kincaid was born on November 2, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Mary Agnes (Donnelly) and Cornelius Elmer Edelbrock. Mary moved to Alaska in 1973 where she met David Kincaid, the couple traveled back to Kansas City to be married on April 21, 1976 then returned to raise their family in Anchorage. Mary was a legal secretary, an office manager for their own construction company, and had her own trucking business. Mrs. Kincaid was a member of the St. Benedict and Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic churches. Mary enjoyed gold mining in Alaska and Dawson City, and loved being a “domestic engineer,” cooking, sewing, crafts, knitting and quilting. Mary and David retired to Goldendale, Washington in 2005 quickly becoming active members of the community.

Mrs. Kincaid passed away in Goldendale on January 5, 2016 at the age of 74 and is survived by her husband David of Goldendale; son Ted Kincaid and daughter Mary D. Kincaid both of Anchorage; sisters Margaret Price and Susan Edelbrock both of Kansas City; stepchildren Kathren “Kitty” Kincaid and Christine L. Kincaid both of Anchorage and Karen Kincaid of Canberra, Australia; and 6 grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by step-son David Kincaid.
