Gorge league shaking out to a battle for final two playoff spots

DRIVING THE LANE: Rylee Holycross attacked the hoop during their home game against Yakama Nation. The Eagles got scoring from 10 players as they ran away with the game early and cruised to a 78-29 win.

Sunnyside Christian and Yakama Nation are sorting their way to the top of the Greater Columbia Gorge League with wins over Klickitat County teams who will likely be in their usual position of fighting for at top four finish.

Bickleton lost to Sunnyside Christian 74-50. They have yet to face Yakama Nation, but the Eagles have posted wins over Klickitat-Glenwood and Lyle-Wishram. The Pirates gave the Knights a tough game in Bickleton, as the game was close at 33-31 at the break. But, the Knights came out hot in the third quarter, hitting 78 percent from the floor.
