Lady Wolves fall to Highland rally, lose early to league rivals


Goldendale’s Lady Timberwolves had one get away from them last week when Highland took advantage of their size to pull out a 51-48 win at Goldendale. The first half was evenly played by the two teams and Goldendale connected on three, three-point shots to lead by three points going into the fourth quarter.

For three quarters, Goldendale kept 6-2 post player Bryanna Monson scoreless. But, Monson came alive in the fourth quarter with five points, leading the Scotties who hit on seven of 11 shots to pull out the win. Goldendale was led by Ocean Bryan’s 16 points. Zara Kartes had 10 points for the Wolves.
