Cougs hold off Vandal charge, lose to Pirates

WHO'S OPEN?: Bailey Couch looks to pass around Lyle-Wishram's Elijah McCullough during Klickitat-Glenwood's third quarter rally.

What began as a ho-hum blow out at Klickitat last week, turned into a thriller with Lyle-Wishram rallying in the fourth quarter to beat the Vandals 53-45. Turnovers were key to the game with the Cougars gaining their lead with a 12-6 edge in turnovers and then losing it in the third quarter when they coughed it up 10 times to the Vandals' four.

Dylon Uribe and Elijah McCullough carried much of the load during the first quarter as the Cougars opened up a 14-3 lead. Uribe had five points and a blocked shot and McCullough had four points and three rebounds in the quarter.
