Lady Cougars beat Pirates for third league win and edge in win column

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES: Three levels of emotion were going on during a play at the Lyle-Wishram versus Glenwood-Klickitat game. Ellie Smith, of Lyle-Wishram, at left seemed certain the rebound was all hers. Teammate MaeLynn Luke, was frantic and Mackenzie Tuthill, on the floor, may have been thinking, "Oh, great!" Lyle-Wishram won the game 48-24.

A 15-9 rebounding edge wasn't enough for the Glenwood-Klickitat Eagles to overcome the turnovers and sharp-shooting by the Lyle-Wishram Cougars who rode a 31-6 first half advantage to a 48-24 league win in Klickitat. Lacy Carse scored 17 first half points and MaeLynn Luke added six for the Cougars who shot 44 percent from the floor. The second half was evenly played with Luke picking up five more points, all from the foul line and Alex Cloud pulling down 10 second half rebounds. Carse finished with 22 points.

Klickitat was led by Mackenzie Tuthill, who also had 12 rebounds for the Eagles. Bailee Green scored six points and Juli Quinton had six points on a pair of three-point shots.
