Goldendale Jaycees had a real success story to report following last weekend's result at the Satus Ski Lodge. "We really had a fine weekend," said Jerry Kester, "another one like last week and we'll be in the clear for this year. Instead of going in the hole several hundred dollars as we have, we may be able to show a profit this year." Kester and Ron Rombalski, who lead the snow sport effort, reported they had about 200 skiers Sunday, in addition to 90 or more on Saturday. There must have been 500 people, counting skier and spectators, at the lodge Sunday." All three tows are operating each week-end, and on Wednesday as well; all are equipped with new rope this year, and the one motor has been rebuilt so that dependable service is assured, the Jaycees said.
