Wolves still searching for chemistry and wins

For three quarters, Goldendale held Mabton's Roy Zavala somewhat in check, giving them a 38-36 lead going into the fourth quarter. But, Zavala exploded for 12 points in the final quarter and seven turnovers limited the Timberwolves to half as many shots as the Vikings, who pulled out a 54-47 win. J.C. Cline scored five of his team high 10 points for Goldendale from the foul line. Nine Timberwolves scored and the team shot 40 percent from the floor.

The non-conference game was a prelude to two league losses at the hands of La Salle 68-33 and Cle Elum-Roslyn 65-45. A big third quarter put the game away at La Salle. The Lightning had three players in double figures. Goldendale was led by Jes...
