City council hears report on grant for police overtime

 


It was an evening of good news for the Goldendale City Council, starting with the report from public works director Karl Enyeart, who told the council that the blue reservoir had recently been inspected.

“It looks good for another five years,” Enyeart told the council, “And maybe for five years beyond that. So we won’t have a large capital outlay on that for repainting. We’re looking at between $300,000 and $500,000.”

Mayor Mike Canon noted the “Big sigh of relief” that came to him when he heard the news. Enyeart also said an inspection of the former concrete reservoir found it in much better shape than they had thought and that it may be possible to reline and put it into...
