Dems' caucus key for delegates


The chair of the Klickitat County Democrats thinks it’s great that Republicans actually send in their ballots.

“I really appreciate that the Republicans get out and vote,” says Rosemary Hoyt. “It is so important to vote. The thing I think is worst for our country is apathy, so I want people to get out and vote.”

Democrats in the county are a minority but highly active and engaged. “We are here, we try to work for the good of the county,” Hoyt says. “We may see the pathway differently than the Republicans, but the goal is for all of us to work toward a better county, a better state, a better U.S. So it’s important to participate.”
