Lyle School District to run special levy


The Lyle School District will run a special Technology and Capital Levy on April 4. Superintendent Andy Kelly says if passed, the levy will accomplish several things.

First, every student in Lyle in grades 3-12 will be provided a personal computer to assist in their learning both in school and at home. “This is huge,” Kelly said in an email to The Sentinel, “in that it begins to eliminate the technology gap that so many of our kids are behind in.” Over the long haul the move would save the district money because it would no longer be purchasing text books that are obsolete the minute they arrive.
