Goldendale ABATE and an honor guard from the American Legion escorted the car down Main Street.

Walter Goik turned 102 last week, and on Friday Goldendale surprised him with a short parade down Main Street in honor of both his birthday and his service in World War II. Goik jumped a German ship during the war, defected to the U.S., and served in the Pacific.
