David Allen Pedersen, 77, of Goldendale, died on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. David was born in the family farmhouse in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on February 24, 1939 to Ole' "Chris" and Ouri (Myer) Pedersen. David moved to Middleton, Idaho when he was three years old and lived there until he graduated high school in 1958. David immediately joined the Air Force and served in the Panama Canal Zone as an Air Patrol. After a few years, Dave met Gwen and her two children Bill and Susie. They eloped to Nevada on May 14, 1968 as they prepared for their wedding June 28, 1968. They had two more sons join their family: Rob and Russ. They enjoyed almost 48 years of marriage.

David started working at Simplot's in Caldwell, Idaho in 1962. He moved his family to Goldendale and went to work at the then Martin Marietta Aluminum Plant in 1974. He worked there for 27 years before retiring.

David was a member of the Nazarene Church, he also went to the Bible Baptist Church with his daughter Susan and son-in-law Eddie. He enjoyed TJ Wilder as his Pastor.

David is preceded in death by his father Ole' and mother Ouri Pedersen, brothers Glen, Earl, Paul, Joel and Dean. His mother-in-law Carrie Hamil and brother-in-law Pete Petersen. David is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Gwen, his son Bill (Kim) Lewis of Houston, TX, his daughter Susan (Ed) Wright of Goldendale, his son Rob Pedersen of Goldendale and his son Russ Pedersen of Portland, OR, grandchildren: Jeremy (Danielle) Wright of Oklahoma City, OK, Breanna (Chase) Pinkerton of Goldendale, Tommy Neider of Minnesota, and Chris Lewis of Houston, TX, great-grandson Benjamin Wright. Also surviving him is his brother James (Joyce) Pedersen of Battle Ground, WA and sister Anna (Fred) Venecia of Gonzales, CA, sister-in-laws Charlotte (Dave) Belisle of Denver, CO, Diane Petersen of Goldendale, brother-in-laws Jim (Kathy) Hamil of Kenmore, WA and Charles (Diana) Hamil of Selah, WA, many cousins, nieces and nephews who were very special to him and many extended family and friends.

His Memorial Service will be held March 12, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel.
