Final proceedings to abandon the Burlington Northern rail spur into Goldendale could be filed by this summer or sooner. That’s the word from Howard Kallio, B. N.’s director of public affairs, who said filing would occur with the Interstate Commerce Commission. Burlington cites lack of business as its primary reason for discontinuing the Goldendale line. Bath was owner and editor of the Sentinel from October 1, 1910 to June 1, 1936.)
