Wade Thomas "Tom" Morgan Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of March 22 after a yearlong battle with colon cancer.

Tom was born on Dec 10, 1947 in Portland and was raised in Beaverton, graduating from Sunset High School in 1966. After attending Portland Community college he joined the Army in 1967. He received basic training at Fort Lewis Washington and was then stationed at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He was then deployed to Lai Khe, Vietnam during the communist TET offensive in 1968, where he was a dozer mechanic. He returned home in 1970, and settled again in Beaverton. Tom worked for Coast to Coast Hardware DC for 3 years and then accepted a job at Tektronix, Inc in Beaverton where he met his wife to be Jeanne Mower. They were married in June of 1979 and resided in Gresham Or. He then went to work for Cotter & Co, a True Value Distribution Center in Gresham where he worked for 23 years. In 2007 Jeanne and Tom purchased acreage in Goldendale and moved to their new home in 2008 and Jeanne opened up a photography studio (Golden Photo) on Main Street in Goldendale.

Tom was a member of the American Legion and the Goldendale Motorsports Association.

A celebration of life will be held at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale on March 31 at 1 p.m., followed by fellowship at the American Legion.
