League action heats up as Wolves search for winning combos after losses to La Salle and Granger

WINNING DAY: Jairus Christensen scored a win in singles against Granger on Friday. The team lost a pair of SCAC matches last week and are heavy into league play.

Goldendale tennis had a tough week with losses to La Salle, White Swan and Granger. The boys team did manage a draw with White Swan at 2-2.

La Salle was as dominant as they were expected to be, winning their matches by 5-0 scores. The only Timberwolf to score a win in singles games was John Hanna, who lost a pair of 6-2 sets. Jairus Christensen, Kelli Bighorn and Halie Allen each lost 6-0, 6-0 to the Lightning. Doubles teams fared a little better with Spencer Ricks and Ignacio Cano losing 6-0, 6-3, Mark Briggs and Alden Bothamley losing 6-1, 6-2, Hanna Hoffman and Talia Johnson losing 6-1, 6-0, Alyssa and Faith Simmons losing 6-1, 6-1.
