Bickleton boys third at Moro meet, Cloud wins round of javelin

STATE LEADER: Alex Cloud won javelin at the Sherman County meet, Saturday. Cloud, of Lyle-Wishram is the state leader among 1B throwers.

Area schools took in the warm Saturday weather with a track meet in Moro and Andrew Gannon gave the Bickleton boys a pair of wins towards their third place team finish. Gannon set a Personal Record (PR) in the 1500 meters, finishing in 4-minutes, 30.07-seconds, more than 5-seconds ahead of the field. He also won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 47.13.

Riley Brown was second in the triple jump at 37-9 and Kyle Underwood earned team points with third place finishes in the high jump and long jump. Underwood matched his PR at 5-8 in the high jump and was only 2-inches short of a PR in the long jump. Other Bickleton boys with top 10 finishes were: Troy Roberts, eighth in the 800 meters and f...
