Middle school student honored for achievement

Goldendale Middle School student Sandra Crook was one of 500 students nationwide honored with the NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award. This award is based on excellence in the five pillars of NJHS: citizenship, character, leadership, service and scholarship. Sandra is active as the president of the middle school's ASB, and is involved in all aspects of school. She maintains a 4.0 GPA while continuing service activities with developmentally disabled adults at New Hope Farms. She spends well over 100 hours a year volunteering at New Hope Farms, oftentimes up to a full day of her weekend. This award comes with a $500 College Savings Account which has been set up in her name.
